Mireille Gros is a Swiss artist, living and working in Basel and Paris. This is a debut presentation of her work in New York City. This exhibition features a selection of 16 x 12 inch drawings produced over the last decade. The drawings will be presented unframed, hung grid-like on a lightly colored background. Gros explores themes related to nature, whether in the form of plant or vegetable motifs, micro and macrocosms, water, air, earth, and so on. Gros has traveled extensively, most recently on a grant to Mali, Africa. Recent exhibitions include a solo show at the Kunstverein Reutlingen, Germany, as well as the inclusion of her videos in the Art Basel Film 2004. Gros studied at Cooper Union in the early 1980's.

Jet-te L. Ranning is a Danish artist, who also spent time in New York City as a student at the School of Visual Arts in the early 1980's. On view in this exhibition will be a series of recent 20 x 20 inch paintings, acrylic and marble dust on linen, called "Combi Paintings". This ongoing series of paintings is designed to be presented in a flexible manner. There is no particular order in which the paintings should be shown, rather, the viewer may choose a combination that pleases. Ranning lives and works on the island of Fyn in Denmark. She has recently returned from a five year stay in Barcelona, Spain. During that time she also made several trips to India. The colors and images in the paintings are directly inspired by those visits. Ranning exhibits extensively in Denmark and Sweden.

Renate Wolff lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Formerly in Düsseldorf, she was also a student at the Art Academy. Wolff's work is abstract and manifests itself primarily in the form of murals or painted wall installations. These are either public commissions such as building lobbies, banks or subway stations, or art installations in galleries and exhibition spaces, or in private residences. Her earlier wall installations used wax, which Wolff also uses to produce many free-standing wall objects, some of which will be on view in this exhibition. Also, on view will be a selection of fine art prints relating directly to the mural pieces, serving as models for various projects. In 2004 Wolff had four solo exhibitions in Germany and Belgium. A recent recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, Wolff has also been awarded a Civitella Ranieri Foundation Grant for 2005.
